New Candys – Regicide

Venice-based New Candys have unveiled “Regicide,” the lead single from their forthcoming fifth album, “The Uncanny Extravaganza,” which is slated for release on May 30th. This track signals a bold departure from their established sound, blending their psychedelic rock foundations with unexpected electronic elements.

“We wanted to introduce elements that had never been part of our songs before,” the band explains. “The disco-style beat in the verses really excited us. It was a deliberate clash between two distant genres that we wanted to blend together, making the song as danceable and party-ready as possible while still maintaining a dark atmosphere.”

“The Uncanny Extravaganza” promises to showcase this expanded palette, oscillating between gritty, aggressive sounds, synth-driven rhythms, and dreamy, melancholic, minimalist moments.
