Heavy Lungs’ YES CHEF is a two-minute grease fire of punk chaos, simmering with the clatter of a kitchen on meltdown. The track opens with a metallic clang—think dropped pans and broken timers—before spiralling into breakneck riffs and Danny Nedelko’s barked orders, slicing through the noise like a cleaver. Lyrics like “oui chef, it never stops” mock the grind of hospitality, blending sweat and sarcasm into a anthem for overcooked dreams. Structurally, it’s a sprint: verses crash into choruses, then evaporate like steam. The band’s DIY ethos (they met in a kitchen, Ghost-style but with bagels) bleeds into the production—raw, urgent, and smelling faintly of burnt toast.
