Viagra Boys – Man Made of Meat

Swedish post-punk provocateurs Viagra Boys return with their new single, “Man Made of Meat,” the lead track from their upcoming album viagr aboys, out April 25 via their freshly minted label, Shrimptech Enterprises. Co-produced with Pelle Gunnerfeldt, the album veers away from the satirical, politically charged tone of 2022’s Cave World in favour of something self-described by frontman Sebastian Murphy as “simple and stupid—because that’s how I am.”

“Man-Made of Meat” brings Murphy’s absurd humour to life with sardonic lyrics, wry observations, and a driving post-punk groove. The chorus, “I am a man that’s made of meat/ You’re on the internet looking at feet,” underscores a theme of existential dread with dark comedy.

Viagra Boys have been performing the track live since mid-2024, giving fans a taste of their sardonic new direction. Their knack for lampooning societal norms remains intact, but this time with a fresh blend of irreverence and introspection.
