Cornelia Murr – Pushing East
Cornelia Murr prepares to release her new album “Run To The Center” with the single “Pushing East”, featuring her mother Pamela Livingston on flute. The track is produced by Luke Temple, known for his work with Adrienne Lenker and Hand Habits.
The London-born, NY-based musician recorded the album in an unexpected location – Red Cloud, Nebraska, population 948. While restoring an abandoned house in this remote setting, Murr found the space to reflect and create, resulting in what she describes as a breakup song “to be played ideally loud in the car in the fresh moment of irrevocable change”.
The upcoming album, due February 28 via 22TWENTY, follows her 2022 EP “Corridor” and her Jim James-produced 2018 debut “Lake Tear of the Clouds”. This new work represents a significant step in Murr’s artistic journey, moving from her earlier role as a backing musician to fully embracing her identity as a solo artist.
