Goat Girl – gossip

Goat Girl – gossip

London’s Goat Girl continue their sonic evolution with “gossip”, a standalone single that showcases their boldest experimental direction yet and marks a decisive step away from their post-punk origins. The track merges dissonant synths, heavy bass lines, and reverberated drums, creating an immersive electronic landscape.

Lead vocalist Lottie Pendlebury, who also directed the accompanying video, uses the imagery of a spinning, half-demolished model house to mirror the song’s themes of destructive behaviour and hearsay.

The release also marks Goat Girl’s expansion to a quartet, now featuring Lottie Pendlebury, Rosy Jones, Holly Mullineaux, and Ruby Kyriakides. Recorded initially at Ireland’s haunted Hellfire Studios, the track found its final form in their South London studio, where the band focused on unleashing its electronic potential.

Following their ambitious third album “Below the Waste” released in June, “gossip” serves as both an epilogue to those sessions and a potential preview of Goat Girl’s future directions.
