Westside Cowboy – I’ve Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love

Manchester’s Westside Cowboy debuts with “I’ve Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love”, marking their signing to Nice Swan Records. What started as bedroom jams have evolved into their self-dubbed “Britainicana” sound, blending indie rock with traditional harmony-rich elements.

Produced by Mercury Prize winner Lewis Whiting (English Teacher), the track opens with a signature band name, shout, before launching into crackling guitars and compelling vocal harmonies from co-vocalist Aoife Anson O’Connell.

“Sometimes love is tender. Other times it just sounds like a snare drum”, the band explains. “We started this as a joke when we were all a bit miserable, but now we actually have to put some effort in. We just wanted to write a good song – this is the best we’ve got for now”.
