King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – Phantom Island

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard surprise us once again. Just two months after their album “Flight b741”, they’re back with “Phantom Island”. The track comes from the same recording sessions that produced twenty songs, with only half making it to the previous album. This new single showcases their collaboration with a full orchestra, taking their sound in an exciting direction.

The band has also announced their 2025 Phantom Island orchestral tour, which will be their only US tour that year. Each city will feature a different 28-piece orchestra, conducted by Sarah Hicks. The tour will conclude with a three-day camping event called Field Of Vision in Buena Vista, CO.

As Stu Mackenzie puts it: “It’s a privilege to be making music for a living and to be here still after all these years”.
