Suzanne Vega – Rats

Suzanne Vega – Rats

Suzanne Vega’s back with “Rats,” a gritty ode to NYC’s infamous critters. Inspired by punk bands like the Ramones and Fontaines D.C., Vega partnered with guitarist Gerry Leonard to craft this urban anthem. It’s her first new track in 8 years, sparked by swapping rat-sighting stories with producer Jimmy Hogarth. Vega’s set real-life rat tales to music, capturing the city’s ongoing battle with its furry residents. Coincidentally, NYC’s mayor is hosting an “Urban Rat Summit” this week – talk about timing!
