Charlotte Cornfield – Audience of One

Charlotte Cornfield’s new single ‘Audience of One’, produced by Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman, delves into the realm of dream-like fears. Cornfield explains that the song was inspired by how fear manifests in her dreams, often in familiar settings with shadowy figures. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of crashing a vehicle and performing for a single, ghost-like audience member. The chorus reflects her internal dialogue, attempting to let go of persistent fears and worries. Recorded after the completion of her album ‘Could Have Done Anything’, the track features backing vocals by Annie Nero. Cornfield felt that this particular song needed to stand on its own, separate from the album.
