Hemlock Ernst – Remains

Samuel T. Herring, known for his work with Future Islands, is set to release a new album as Hemlock Ernst titled “Studying Absence.” The project, produced entirely by Icky Reels, showcases Herring’s talent in the indie rap scene. The latest single “Remains” features a collaboration with ELUCID, known for his work in Armand Hammer. This track demonstrates the complementary styles of Hemlock Ernst and ELUCID, set against Icky Reels’ complex production. The album also includes guest appearances from Beans, Fatboi Sharif, and Egyptian Lover. This release follows Herring’s 2019 collaboration with Kenny Segal, “Back To The House,” and continues to highlight his versatility as an artist across different genres. “Studying Absence” promises to be a dense and intricate addition to the indie rap landscape.
